The following is the basic amount of information
that we require to give an estimate on an initial enquiry.
This will enable us to give a more accurate price.
1. Please supply a customer ref
or order number.
2. Confirmation of site address
ie. town or postcode also a level floor if known.
3. Indicate clearly whether it
is supply only or supply and fit.
4. A product specification. ie.
Lacobel splashbacks or 19mm toughened back painted worktops (at the
initial enquiry stage it is not essential that we know which colour)
5. A set of clear drawings (plan
view & elevation view ) showing panel sizes, there position in
respect of kitchen and whether there are any cut outs for sockets,
hobs, sinks or holes for hanging rails. Or any other fixture or fitting
that may influence the fitting of the glass.
6. Regarding sink & hob cut
outs we need to know the precise size of the cut out in the glass
and whether it is inset or undermounted. This is important due to
our manufacturing tolerances (see Installations).
7. All enquiries to be faxed or
sent by e-mail or post. Please note that we DO NOT give quotes over
the phone.
All e-mail enquiries to be followed up in hard copy.
8. Any drawings that need to be
sent by e-mail, please send in PDF format. Alternately send hard copies
in the post.
9. Please do not fax drawings
for us to scale from as they shrink during the faxing process.
10. Please note that all our estimates
are given on the information received and that the price may change
subject to a site survey.
11. Any change in the layout,
size, colour or cut out details made by any on site personel must
be sent in writing to our estimating department ASAP as we will not
be held responsible for alterations made without our knowledge.
12. For contract enquiries, we
will need to have drawings of all styles of kitchen on the relevant
enquiry and also a schedule of how many plots will be ready over an
agreed period. ie. Can we survey and install 5 plots per site visit
?
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN OUR INITIAL ESTIMATES
In regards of
supply only our price will be based on you supplying finished sizes
or a full size rigid template, without any add ons or deductions,
to be clearly marked with the customer ref and a product ref.
Also it is very important that ALL templates are marked as to which
side is the face. A copy of your order is to be sentwith the template.
Our supply only prices are ALL on an ex-works basis unless clearly
stated that delivery is Included. All our deliveries are carried out
on a tailboard only basis unless pre-arranged. We will not carry glass
into a property unless it has been agreed.
This is for health & safety reasons.
If you require a table top or breakfast bar glass panel as part of
a supply and fit enquiry and it is of a fixed size, it is advisable
to order this panel as soon as possible, even prior to our templating
as we can then produce it to be ready for when our fitters attend
site and install the splashbacks for instance.
If the finished size is only made available at the time of survey,
then if we have to attend site to install Lacobel splashbacks and
then make a further site visit to install the breakfast bar an additional
charge will be made.
The standard packaging for our products are foam transportation pads,
if you require additional packaging please let us know at this stage.
Worktop panels will have a foam edge protection and will also be bubble
wrapped.
Please note that it is our customers responsibility to check panels
on receipt as we will not be liable for any damage or loss once our
delivery note has been signed.

All surveys and installations are programmed
through our installations dept, and will normally require a minimum
of 3 days notice to attend site. We will require a written instruction
to attend site to survey / template giving the full site address and
any site contact that may be relevant.
We will then fax back a confirmation of a date for us to attend site.
If for any reason a proposed survey or fitting date need to be changed,
it is to be done in writng to our installation department.
Our surveyors will be given a copy of our estimate and relevant drawings
to assist them when carrying out the survey.
Should a set of drawings not be supplied or that there is no one on
site to instruct us, we may not be able to take all the relevant information
that we require.
Should we require a further site visit to obtain this information,
then an additional charge will be made. We accept no responsibility
for shortages or mistakes made if a detailed set of drawings are not
made available or that there is not a qualified person on site to
instruct us.
Any work that does not correspond to the original enquiry will be
deemed as extras, this will be recorded on a separate sheet, which
we will endeavour to get signed on site by whoever has asked us to
survey the extra work.
If extra panels / work is required we will re-price to include it.
Please note that no manufacturing will take place until the cost of
the extra work has been agreed in writing.
In order to obtain accurate sizes we will require the following,in
regards of splashbacks. All worktops need to be fitted in their finished
position. We will not take sizes if the worktops are not fitted, which
may require a further chargeable visit to site.
All wall sockets are to be in their finished position with the cover
plates on.In regard of any other fittings - i.e extractors or hanging
rails or shelving, we require that the wall has been predrilled and
plugged to allow us to take accurate positions for the holes in the
glass.
If you wish for the glass to be fitted behind an extractor, it will
need to be fitted to show where the fixings will be in the wall. Please
be aware that your fitters will need to allow for the thickness of
the glass & adhesive (6mm glass + 2-3mm of adhesive on standard
splashback glass ) when setting out for the fitting of the extractor,
but it MUST be removed prior to our site survey, this is to allow
us to get accurate positions for the holes in the glass.
If we attend site and the extractor has not been removed, then we
may have to return to site at a later date to carry out our survey,
this will be chargeable. On completion of our survey, we will requote
based on what is required. We will then require a written instruction
/ order for us to proceed.
On receipt of your order, we will contact you to agree on a suitable
date for installation this will be based on the lead time for the
products & work specified and our current workload.
Please note that our lead times, begin from receipt of your confirmed
order at our installation department.
Any change in a prearranged fitting date is to be given in writing
at the earliest opportunity to our installation department. The price
will include for the removal & refitting of socket cover plates
at your own risk on the basis that the power will be switched off
for the duration of our work. We will also supply longer cover plate
fixing screws should they be required.
This does not apply to contract jobs.as this will need to be carried
out by qualified electricians.
We will also include for us to silicone point along the bottom
edge only unless stated in our estimate.
We do not include for us to supply or install any fittings unless
agreed at the time of the initial enquiry.

appliances.
We will require a signature on completion of our work prior
to us leaving site. It is our customers responsibility to have someone
available to sign off our work.If no one is available, we will call
our customer to inform them that we have completed.
We will follow this up with a written notification that we have completed,
once this has been sent, then we will not accept responsibility for
any loss, damage or movement to glass panels, furniture or fittings
on the relevant site.
Should protection for the glass be required, this will need to be
stated in the initial enquiry.
